TimeScape NOW Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the TimeScape NOW mobile app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. TimeScape NOW is provided by Modeco Systems, LLC ("TimeScape", "we", "us").
Who this app is for
TimeScape NOW is a time-tracking app for employees of businesses that use TimeScape. Your employer creates your account and decides how TimeScape is used. We process your information on your employer's behalf. Questions about how your employer uses your time and location records should go to your employer.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, employee ID, username, and, if you sign in with one, your email address. These come from your employer.
- Location: your device's precise location while you are clocked in, including when the app is closed or not in use, to record your route and to tell when you arrive at and leave a job site. We also record your location when you clock in or out and when you start or stop a job. Location collection stops when you clock out.
- Time records: clock-in and clock-out times, jobs, routes, tasks, materials, and lunch breaks you record.
- Photos and comments: pictures and comments you choose to send to your office. The camera is also used to scan badges and barcodes; those scans are not stored as photos.
- Device information: a device identifier, phone model, operating system and app version, battery level, and whether location and notification permissions are on. We use this to keep tracking working and to help your employer troubleshoot.
We do not collect contacts, messages, or financial or health information. The app contains no ads and no advertising or analytics trackers.
How we use information
- To provide the service: recording time, building timesheets and route maps for your employer, and detecting job arrivals and departures.
- To keep the app working: diagnosing tracking problems and supporting your employer.
- To protect the service: preventing fraud and misuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Your employer, who sees your time records, locations, photos and comments as part of their TimeScape account.
- Service providers that host and run TimeScape for us, such as Microsoft Azure (data storage) and Google Maps (map display), only as needed to provide the service.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
Security and storage
Information is encrypted in transit and stored on servers in the United States. Access is limited to your employer's authorized users and to TimeScape staff who support the service.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as your employer's TimeScape account requires it, including time records your employer must keep for payroll and legal reasons. When your employer closes their account, we delete their data within a reasonable time unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your choices
- You can turn off location permission in your phone's settings. TimeScape NOW then cannot record your route or detect jobs, and your employer may require location to clock in.
- To see, correct or delete your information, contact your employer's TimeScape administrator, or email us at support@gettimescape.com and we will work with your employer.
Children
TimeScape NOW is for employees and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
